Charlotte George

Level I

Charlotte has been teaching vocal lessons for 5+ years, working with students of all ages and ability.

She has trained at City University in London where she obtained First-Class Honor Degree in Classical Singing. She then went on to the MA Musical Theatre Course at The Royal Academy of Music and she is also an accredited Vocal Balance technique teacher.

Charlotte has been performing as a singer and actress for over 10 years.

She has appeared in various noteworthy productions such as The Jerry Herman review “Showtune” at the Union Theatre, “Singin’ in the Rain” at The Adelphi Theatre and performed the role of Deb in “Ordinary Days” at The Cockpit.

Throughout her career Charlotte has performed in concerts including “Swinging with Strings” at Cadogan Hall, “To Gillie With Love” at The Gillian Lynne Theatre and the first live performance of Billie Holidays album “Lady in Satin” at the Bristol Jazz festival. She currently gigs regularly with a vintage vocal trio, The Bailey Dolls.

As a teacher Charlotte is passionate about helping pupils build their confidence in singing. She covers a variety of musical styles and genres and enjoys making each of these accessible to students. Her lessons are all about decluttering and simplifying vocal technique, allowing students to sing with vocal clarity, dynamic tone and artistic freedom. Charlotte is also well equipped to help students with theoretical aspects of songs, interpretation, repertoire choices and acting through song.

She is passionate about inspiring pupils to enjoy singing and achieve their goals in a fun environment!
